About Janna:

My first yoga experience was a hatha class at college in 1988. I found the practice of yoga to be a beautiful way to feel a deeper connection with myself and the rhythms of nature, and I have been practicing ever since. Called to teaching, It is my joy to create a welcoming space for others to experience the power and grace of yoga.

 

My style is infused with a love of nature and a playful passion for the practice of yoga. In my classes, we explore hatha yoga postures in creative sequences that invite union of mind, body, heart, and spirit. I provide specific, detailed alignment instruction with regards to individual needs. Students leave my classes awakened and strengthened from the inside out. 

 

I am deeply grateful to my main teacher, Ulrika Engman, and to all of my teachers and students, both past and present, for their inspiration and companionship on the yoga path.

 

Along with offering on-going public classes, workshops, and yoga retreats, I offer expert one-on-one private yoga sessions. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, a certified Yoga Tune-Upâ„¢ Therapy Ball Practitioner, and a Certified Childbirth Educator (CBE) with ALACE (Association of Labor Support and Childbirth Educators).
